Project Completion Report

The Goat Raising Livelihood Project in Sitio Lomboy, Guiset Norte, San Manuel Pangasinan, with a budget of Php 100,000 ($1,785), aimed to improve the living conditions of 10 indigent families by providing them with goats and training in goat rearing. The project successfully increased beneficiaries’ income through the sale of goat milk, meat, and offspring, enhancing their financial stability and food security. It empowered participants with valuable skills and knowledge, promoting confidence and self-reliance. The initiative incorporated a “pass-on-the-gift” system, fostering community sharing and ensuring long-term sustainability. Despite challenges like limited initial capital and disease risks, proactive measures and community support mitigated these issues. Future recommendations include expanding the project, offering advanced training, establishing stronger market linkages, and ongoing monitoring and evaluation.
