In the remote village of Sitio Guh-Ban in San Nicolas, Pangasinan, Philippines, hope often feels out of reach. The journey to the nearest town takes a grueling 3-hour ride down the mountain. Emergencies mean an exhausting trek to the hospital. Even selling their hard-earned crops is a struggle without transportation.
But the resilient people of Sitio Guh-Ban refuse to give up. In partnership with the Blessed Redeemer Fellowship church, Pure Bayanihan extended a lifeline of support to provide what the community needed most: a motorboat to transport their livelihood and connect them to essential resources.
For this project, Pure Bayanihan invested $5000 in the boat, solar lights, life vests, permits, and supplies – an investment in the community’s future. The impact was profound. Marsan Ruben, a resident, shared through tears: “I never imagined we would receive this kind of support. I am just so happy and grateful.”
Mila Saingan expressed her heartfelt appreciation: “We can’t thank you enough. With this, we can continue selling our goods and providing for our families. Your help means everything to us.”
This collaboration demonstrates the power of coming together to uplift those in need. As Pastor Susana G. Martinez stated, “The partnership between our church and Pure Bayanihan is a true gift from God. Working together like this is something beautiful.”
With your generous support, no community is too remote to feel cared for.
