The Goat Raising Project, implemented by Blessed Redeemer Fellowship Inc. in Dalumpinas, San Nicolas, Pangasinan, aimed to provide a sustainable source of income for 10 farmers and below-the-poverty-line families. With a project cost of Php 100,000 ($1,818), the project distributed 20 high-quality goats and provided training on goat farming practices. Key accomplishments include improved animal health and welfare, increased community interest in livestock rearing, and the implementation of a “pass-on-the-gift” system to ensure sustainability and community solidarity. Despite challenges such as limited initial capital and potential disease outbreaks, the project has significantly enhanced the economic and social well-being of the beneficiaries and the broader community by improving food security and fostering cooperation. Future recommendations include project expansion, specialized training for value-added products, infrastructure development, and marketing support.
