The Hog Raising Project is a grassroots effort to jumpstart local economies and give farmers a fighting chance. After weathering the storm of COVID-19 and African Swine Fever (ASF), these hardworking people are eager to get back on their feet.
This project will help the farmers of Bucao to mentally and financially recover from the disaster caused by COVID-19 and African Swine Fever. We will provide them the necessary tools to create a sustainable income stream, bolster the local food supply, and kickstart the economic recovery in the area.
The Plan
We’re giving 10 families 2 piglets each to start their herd and a supply for their necessary feed. We’re also going to teach modern, efficient feeding methods and offer them veterinary support.
